These pictures document the hike to Bumpass Hell. The trail in is just under 3 miles long. The trail head is at 8200 feet; the trail climbs a bit, and then drops into a depression that holds Bumpass Hell at 8100 feet. There is another trail that continues on to "Cold Boiling Lake", but we returned the way we came.
