The Grand Canal of Venice - Part Three

In Part Three we continue to look over some of the buildings along the Grand Canal of Venice

The first installment of this page is not the building, but the fake front. There is much renovation going on along the Grand Canal. Not all of it is hidden from view, but in this ingenious effort, a facade is made of canvas to hide the work. From a distance you just don't notice anything funny about it unless you look closely.

This picture, and the next two, look over one building decorated with an outside garden, and obviously well kept up. Mike & I voted this to be our favorite for good looks along the Grand Canal. Philip Greenspun photograhed this building too, but he had bad light and a bad camera angle. I think my pictures look better!

The same building again, as we have passed by.
